COMMUNITY CHAMPIONS 2025
Community Champions serves as a testament to the power of Community Action. Each year, we come together to honor the resilience of our clients, the dedication of our staff, and the collective impact we create across Wayne County.
This year’s program highlighted two client success stories in Head Start and Financial Empowerment. In the mindset of advocacy, our team kicked off Community Action Month with the livestream event on May 1st. It also served as a launching platform for our first Day of Giving and our advocacy campaign, "Join the Fight."
The livestream featured a mix of live speeches and pre-recorded content, including a keynote from Rashida Tlaib.

COMMUNITY CHAMPIONS 2024
Community Champions serves as a testament to the power of Community Action. Each year, we come together to honor the resilience of our clients, the dedication of our staff, and the collective impact we create across Wayne County.
This year’s program highlighted eight leaders from grassroots organizations in Wayne County that were actively receiving grant funding from our Participatory Grantmaking Program, our Regional Advisory Council (RACs). Each of the grantees was also featured as a guest during our first season of Community Action Amplified, Wayne Metro's first podcast.
The livestream featured a mix of live speeches, pre-recorded video content, and awards for each of the participants.
